Q. I have pets. Do I need to do anything with them prior to my cleaning visit?

A. We are happy to clean around your furry friends provided they are docile and won't harm our house keepers. You will know your pets better than we do, and should crate, put in either a locked away room, not to be cleaned or leave outdoors, any pet that may become aggressive or disruptive to our cleaning team. You should also be sure to make Earth Friendly aware of any pet that is not allowed to go outside so that we can be sure to avoid any escapes!

Q. I don’t use some of the rooms in my home and only one person lives in the home, is there a discount?

A. Yes it could be less if you don’t use some of the rooms in your home. Of course, pricing could be the same if you have 2 or more pets, particularly a heavy shedding variety, and we clean just as long .

Q. I have a lot of clutter. Can you still clean?

A. Earth Friendly can clean around clutter, yet much faster to clean when surfaces are exposed and belongings are put away. We also offer organizing services for those interested in clearing clutter! Contact Earth Friendly can provide you with further details on this. However, extreme clutter of hoarders or heavy garage cleaning is too labor intense for our team.

Q. I cannot be home every visit? Do you hold keys?

A. Yes, we can hold keys for regular clients. Contact Earth Friendly's client service representative to provide you with further details on this.

Q. How will I know I can trust your housekeepers to come into my home?

A. Our housekeepers are REQUIRED to pass a background check, be and sign a non-disclosure agreement regarding our clients privacy.

Q. If I would like to leave while you are cleaning, may I ask your housekeepers to lock the door after they leave?

A. Yes, of course we can lock up after we leave. We do this all the time for our clients. We thoroughly back ground check our employees and also pay fair wages for the best people.

Q. I am very particular about my house cleaning. How will your house keepers know what cleaning details I need with out me telling them every time?

A. We give our house keepers your personalized cleaning wish list based upon the form that you fill out .

Q. What type of products do you use?

A. Eco-friendly, plant-based, products, as well as natural products I hand make myself. Cleaning products derived from natural essential oils and smell pleasant, like grapefruit, citrus, peppermint and eucalyptus, we also have products with lighter scent and also those that are free of scent.  We have many allergy sufferers who respond very positively to our cleaning service and products.

Q. I want you to use my products, is that okay?

A. Yes If you request to use your own cleaning products that is possible as long as they are non toxic and do not have dangerous fumes. We prefer to use your vacuum provided it is in working order. There is an additional charge to bring a vacuum.

Q. Do I have to do anything to prepare for your visit?

A. Ensuring that as many, counters, surfaces and floor spaces are as exposed and clear as possible. Removing as many bath products from tub and shower area also will assist house keepers cleaning those surfaces much faster for you so that you get the best over all cleaning. If this is not possible, please be sure to instruct us on how to clean in the presence of your belongings and where to be extra careful.

In certain cases when a home has not been cleaned for some time. Pre-treating certain problem areas in your bathroom may also be practical should you have  heavy stains in the, sink, or mildew stains in grout lines of shower, rust stains bathtub. We can advise how to do this before we arrive.

Q. Can you remove stains with out chlorine bleach?

A. Yes and we use products like Bon Ami Kitchen Scrub, Mrs. Myers Surface Scrub, concentrated hydrogen peroxide, and lemon juice to lift stains in a safe non-toxic way. However, please note team always cannot remove stains that are under the grout line mildew issues.
